My name is Katya Tchoubar, I am the founder of the Opera Trio ViVA.
ViVA is a female trio expanding the boundaries of classical crossover music. Singing everything from the operatic “Flower Duet” sung in gorgeous three part harmonies, to covers of music by SIA, ADELE, METALLICA and EVANESCENCE, the ladies of ViVA have dynamic vocals, rich harmonies, soaring high notes, and a cinematic approach to all of their repertoire. ViVA also takes a new approach to traditional operatic repertoire.
The ladies of ViVA have been trained and educated at some of the world’s most celebrated music institutions: The Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto, and University of British Columbia. We have each performed individually in acclaimed opera and concert hall stages such as the Canadian Opera Company, The Orpheum in Vancouver, Toronto Operetta Theatre, The Rudolphinum in Prague, Aldeburgh Music Festival in the UK, and New York’s Chautauqua Festival.
ViVA has taken center stage at such prestigious venues as Toronto’s Palais Royale, Casa Loma, Mississauga's Living Arts Centre, and have travelled to perform internationally in Poland, Tacoma, WA, USA and Port Huron, MI, USA. The trio has been featured on Toronto’s CityTV CityNews and in the Toronto Star.
ViVA Trio is available for private and public performances for all occasions: birthdays, weddings, corporate events, opening acts, opening ceremonies and more. ViVA performs live with either acoustic piano accompaniment, orchestral back tracks or live orchestra depending on the event.
ViVA Trio’s standard three performances are:
MAIN ACT: 2 x 45 minute sets
MAIN HI-LITE ACT: 20-40 minute set
MINI HI-LITE ACT: 5-15 minute set
ViVA can tailor their performance to your event and any changes or requests can be discussed at the time of booking. Currently, ViVA Trio resides in Toronto, Canada, and are available for International concerts and functions.
