ANNA

Coloratura Soprano Anna Bateman is noted as much for her stage presence as for her musicality, she imbues warmth and charm into all of the roles she plays. Throughout her years as a singer Anna has been awarded numerous opportunities to train and perform in Canada, the USA and Europe with some outstanding artists, conductors, and teachers.

 

Anna decided early on that she wanted to do her vocal and theatrical training privately and has worked with some of the finest coaches and vocal teachers North America has to offer. She has sung over 20 leading roles in various Operas, Operettas and Musical Theatre Productions and has also performed many Oratorio and Concert Works.

In 2011, Anna branched out into the Classical Crossover music world as a founding member of NARIA, a female operatic/pop quartet vocal group. This group immediately took center stage with an international win of a showcase at MIDEM 2012 in Cannes, France. The group released three independent CD recordings and performed internationally for four years together.

In 2015, Anna signed with Classical Crossover vocal group, ViVA Trio. The Classical Crossover genre has enabled Anna to connect with a vast and varied audience of music lovers, fulfilling her primary desire sought out in a life of music.

 

Born in Toronto and raised in Victoria, BC, Anna is proud to call Canada her home and represents the true Canadian spirit everywhere she performs.

ERIN

 

Mezzo-soprano, Erin Fisher, started singing at age 5, and grew up singing an array of pop, musical theatre, jazz, and classical music. She is a British Columbia native and a graduate of UBC, where she received a bachelor’s degree in music, majoring in opera performance. As she had never seen an opera before beginning her degree, her fast progression in opera was a surprise.

 

Erin made a career of opera at a young age. At 21, she won the district finals in the MET competition and was offered a contract to sing with the Canadian Opera Company’s Studio Ensemble, and continued to sing with the company for three seasons. Erin has performed over 20 operatic roles. She has had the privilege of working with numerous internationally renowned professionals in the opera world, and has sung nationally in Canada, and Internationally in the USA and in Europe.

 

She has also performed in musicals, most recently as Lily in The Secret Garden with Podium Concert Productions, and corporate shows singing jazz and pop with the Sheraton Cadwell Orchestra.

 

Erin also has a keen interest in Sound Healing, and a passion for teaching. She devoted a year to the study and practice of meditation, energy work and sound healing, and also created her private teaching studio, teaching voice.

 

As classical-crossover is her favourite genre to sing, Erin is thrilled to be a member of ViVA Trio.

KATYA

 

Katya Tchoubar is a performer, songwriter, producer, business owner, singing teacher, mother of 2 boys, digital media designer, video editor, cinematographer and vocal diction coach. Her singing career began 16 years ago, after graduating from Glen Gould Studio at the Royal Conservatory of Music, while completing her post graduate studies in Operatic Performance from the University of Toronto.

 

After a successful solo operatic career, in 2010, Katya became the founder and a member of the internatonal opera pop group sensation, NARIA. Katya collaborated with producers and arrangers, Haim Mazar from Los Angeles, and Dima Graziani from Toronto, co-producing three NARIA albums of original compositions in a pop-operatic style.

 

Before immigrating to Canada, Katya was a founder and a member of “Ukrainochka,” a folk/pop crossover group, producing an album and touring Ukraine, Russia, Poland and Bulgaria. As for solo projects, Katya created an album of self-written compositions and covers called “Something Classical,” comprised of classical ensemble of piano, cello, violin and voice.

 

Katya also created High “C” Studio in the Mississauga area, and is a Faculty Member at Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a Russian Diction Coach at The University of Toronto.

 

The owner of NARIA Inc. label, she is a founder and a member of the ViVA Trio.

LOUISE

 

Mezzo-Soprano, Louise Camilleri has been performing as a singer, dancer, and actor professionally for over 35 years. Known in her industry as a “Triple Threat” she has been fortunate to work from her basement to Broadway, across stages, film, and television screens, and radio throughout Canada and the United States.

Louise’s performance education began with vocal training with her father, a Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music (LGSM), competitive level gymnastics, a BFA in dance from York University Louise has taught Cabaret performance at the Randolph Academy for Performing Arts and teaches vocals to the students of The Upper Canada Chorus.

Apart from collaborating on their first album with her husband, Mark Camilleri, some of her favourite performances include three years on the stage of the Gershwin Theatre in New York, Raise The Roof concert with The Canadian Tenors, as a featured singer with Josh Groban in concert, as a back up vocalist with Lorraine Segato & The Parachute Club, vocalist for TVOntario’s theme song “C-Squared”, Gospel Chorus singer for Voices of Broadway album, and Pit Singer with the National Ballet of Canada for West Side Story Suite.

Louise is thrilled to be sharing the stage with the talented ladies of VIVA Trio and thanks her family for all of their support.
